Reminder that we're not meeting Tuesday, May 1.

TH, May 3, we're back in the lab.

For Tuesday, May 8:

Please finish reading <i>The Kite Runner</i>.  Be prepared to discuss, and remember to consider the symbolism of pomegranates and the monster in the lake (in Hassan's dream).

Also read Part I of  <i>A Thousand Splendid Suns</i>.  Consider some of the things that are different between these two novels.

So for next TH, be sure to read The Kite Runner to p. 272 (or 276)--up to CH 22. Be prepared to discuss.

 Dates to Remember:

Essay 1: Exploratory, Due May 3.
Essay 2: Classical Argument: Due May 24

 Both essays emailed to me by 11:59pm, on the due dates. (dmghunt at gmail)

 Final essay will be in-class, on the novels (The Kite Runner and A Thousand Splendid Suns)

 Finals start May 31. I'll let you know our final time when I know it. :)

Read The Kite Runner to p. 176. There's a break in the page, in CH 13. Be prepared for a quiz. Dazzle me, and quizzes shalt be lessened. True dat. Have a great break. :)
